INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Miami cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke ran the 40-yard dash in 4.28 seconds, the third-fastest time in the past decade.
His time was the fastest at the NFL scouting combine, ranking just ahead of University of Maryland running back Da'Rel Scot (4.34).
Van Dyke met with the Baltimore Ravens during the combine.
An angular 174 pounds, the 6-foot defensive back ran the fastest time since Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson (4.24, 2008) and Oakland Raiders cornerback Stanford Routt (4.27, 2005).
